NF Identity ID is a digital identity wallet app that helps users manage their digital identities and documents via mobile devices. The app implements the concept of Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI), which gives users control over their own identities and credentials. Its key features include creating a digital identity (DID), receiving and storing Verifiable Credentials (VCs), scanning QR codes, and generating Verifiable Presentations (VPs) to present credentials to parties seeking to verify them. Access to the wallet is protected by a PIN and optional biometric authentication on supported devices. To start using the app, users create a wallet, save a 12-word recovery phrase, and set a PIN. After logging in, users can view their identity, receive credentials via QR code or JSON import, and manage them on the Wallet page. Credentials with a JWT can be included in a signed presentation and displayed as a QR code for verification using the Verifier feature. The app also provides profile settings and identity recovery using the recovery phrase. This recovery restores the DID and wallet keys, while locally stored credentials are not yet recovered.

Managing digital identities and documents requires a tool that gives users control over storing, presenting, and verifying their own credentials. NF Identity ID was developed as a Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI)-based digital identity wallet, featuring a mobile interface for managing identities and credentials within a single app. The app provides DID creation, a 12-word recovery phrase, PIN protection, encrypted credential storage, JSON import, QR code scanning, and the creation of signed presentations. The Verifier feature allows for the verification of credential signatures and presentations. The app has been successfully developed as a prototype with a mobile interface. TypeScript validation, lint checks, four unit tests, and browser flow tests on both desktop and mobile devices have passed. Testing used an issuer fixture; the physical camera and biometric features have not yet been tested.
As a Mobile Frontend Developer on the NF Identity ID project, I developed the user interface for a digital identity wallet app based on Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) using React Native, Expo, and TypeScript. My contributions focused on translating the digital identity management process into an easy-to-understand user flow, through the onboarding screen, backup recovery phrase, PIN creation, dashboard, wallet, credential details, QR code scanning, and profile settings. I also implemented navigation using Expo Router and integrated the interface with identity services, credential storage, and verification. To enhance the user experience, I implemented form validation, loading indicators, notifications, and error messages. This contribution resulted in a mobile interface that integrates wallet creation, credential management, QR presentation generation, and the display of verification results into a single app; testing on physical devices and its impact on users have not yet been measured.
